Monitoring protocol within the Hydroeconex project
The monitoring protocol evaluates the state of aquatic ecosystems as a result of the operation hydropower facilities in the context of climate change and promotes standardized monitoring methodologies that can be used by scientific institutions, NGOs and managers of existing hydropower plants for assessing the transboundary ecosystem impact (Moldova, Ukraine and Romania). For the elaboration of the monitoring protocol, PPs overviewed the methodological guidelines for research, systematized hydrochemical and hydrobiological parameters existing in the literature and also collected data from national agencies of several observation stations on Dniester and Prut rivers.
